- Use foundation brushes (rounded, synthetic brushes) to blend foundation after you apply with a sponge or fingers. Use a buff action (like a whirlwind). This ensures coverage that does not look heavy handed.
- Cover redness or acne with foundation, then concealer. Use a brush on pimples. Fingers will push makeup aside instead of covering the blemish.
