Remember to use sunscreen and remember how to use it:
- The value of the SPF label is less important than applying sunscreen frequently during the day. Most SPF values are not accurate.
- "Natural Sunscreens" test with less protection than others that have both a physical and chemical barrier. Look for Sunscreens that include avobenzone, octissalate, octocrylene (chemical barrier) combined with Titanium Dioxide and/or zinc oxide.
- Most sunscreens that look white when applied to skin at first, fade and disappear after 15 minutes, so don't be put off by that initial "ghost" look!
- There are only water-resistant sunscreens and all have to be re-applied after spending time in the water.
