Skin Pore Misconceptions - January, 2019

Whether your skin has acne or you have large pores or "blackheads" it is important that clients don't try to extract inflamed pimples or blackheads with pins, sharp objects or severe squeezing with fingertips.

Using a "scrub" with grainy particles may exacerbate unclear skin and spread bacteria to other pores. Using exfoliating cleansers is a much safer way to go. Our Lytic products all help to exfoliate.
Two highly-anticipated products are now available as part of the Epionce line to address the unique challenges associated with adult acne! Purifying Wash and Purifying Spot Gel is a unique acne-fighting duo that employs proven ingredients along with signature Epionce botanicals to provide faster and more effective clearing of acne. Ask us how these products fit into your skin care regimen.

Microdermabrasion is an excellent exfoliating treatment. It is recommended for maintaining clear glowing skin. Before our Acne treatments, we add a microdermabrasion session to improve the effects of the laser.

Blackheads are not an indication of dirty skin. These are pores that are clogged with sebum that has been oxidized and turned black. Again, a good exfoliating wash using a gentle sonic skin brush is a much better solution than pinching and squeezing the skin that can inflame skin and leave scars.
